Katie Depre LAc, FABORM, MTOM, NCCAOM

Katie Depre is a highly accomplished and passionate practitioner of East Asian Medicine. Graduating magna cum laude with a Master’s Degree from Emperor's College of East Asian Medicine, Katie has dedicated herself to the art and science of healing. The program is a total of 240 credit hours + 970 clinical hours. Students treat a minimum of 350 patients before graduation. Her externship included clinic shifts at Being Alive, an HIV clinic in West Hollywood, CA.

Her commitment to excellence and continuous learning led her to become a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM), showcasing her specialization in fertility and reproductive health. A fellowship requires a qualifying exam and continuing education hours in fertility to maintain. Before moving to Durham, Katie spent three years studying under her mentor and one of Los Angeles’s top fertility acupuncturists.

Katie's comprehensive understanding of East Asian Medicine and her compassionate nature allows her to approach each client with empathy and insight. She takes pride in tailoring her treatments to address individual needs, providing a holistic approach to wellness that nurtures both the body and the mind. As a massage therapist for over 15 years, she can combine experienced bodywork with all the modalities East Asian Medicine has to offer.

Beyond her clinical work, Katie is an avid advocate for the integration of traditional medicine with modern healthcare practices. She firmly believes in the power of collaboration and actively participates in professional development seminars and conferences to stay updated with the latest advancements in her field. As a member of the UNC THRIVE team, Katie treats veterans and first responders for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries.

When she's not in the treatment room, you can find Katie engaging with her community, because she believes community is the best medicine. She has four rescue pets and is always either working on her historic home + garden or finding live music.
